It's official...at 23 weeks you're a rock n' roller Lil Man
Lil Man, you are quite the kicker!! Daddy felt you kick for the first time on Sunday, July 19th. He was so excited to feel you!! You didn't kick to often then but you surely kick now, no question. It seems like every time Momma eats you get so excited!! Whenever Momma lays down she can feel you kick too!! Momma can feel you streeeetch and it cracks me up!!! Daddy and I finally found out a way to get you to kick. Auntie Lish always comes up and tries to shake you into kicking but that probably makes you just as nauseous as it does Momma!!! I tell her that she is going to give you baby shaken syndrome and you aren't even here yet ;) We just kid though Peanut...don't you worry!!! But Daddy loves to lie on Momma's belly and whenever he does....there you are!! It was so funny the other night because you kicked Momma three times in the same spot and Daddy was layin’ on my belly. He could just barley feel you the first two times and that third time, you must have known it. You kicked so hard Daddy shot up and was just a smilin'. He was smilin' so big it brought a tear to Momma's eye because we are just so excited that you are in our lives and can’t wait for you to get here!!! Daddy said you can already give an upper cut...you better be a lover not a fighter Lil Man!!!
Well Momma has to go get a shot later today so that's always exciting!!! Good cause though Peanut...good cause!!
Momma and Daddy love you very much and you're kicking me right now!!! Sometimes I wonder if you know what I'm thinking ;)

So much to catch up on...20 weeks today!!
Since my last post, Lil' Peanut and Momma have gone through SO much together!
I guess we should start out by saying that you, Lil' Peanut, are going to be just like Daddy in the sense that you are going to be a big ol' cramp!! About a month ago, June 24th, around 5 pm to be exact, Momma starting cramping and it would just not go away!
So, the next day, the 25th, Dr. Nord wanted Momma to come see him right away. Everything looked good and you looked great Lil' Peanut so just to be on the safe side, Momma had to start getting shots of progesterone once a week for the rest of your baking period...an awesome 24 shots alternating cheeks every week!! Good cause...good cause…that’s the only motivation Momma had to not want to be dragged in to the office!!! Momma had to take these shots so that she would quit cramping and you wouldn't come meet us too soon...before you were done baking ;) So, Dr. Nord said that the cramps should subside by the evening on the 25th.
WRONG!!
Momma was still cramping the next morning and this was very scary Peanut! See, if Momma kept cramping, it was possible that she might have gone into labor too soon...not a good thing when you are still only 16 weeks along...we gotta get to at least 37 buddy!!! So, Momma was put on bed rest for 5 days! If it weren't for Auntie Lish...Momma would have been lost! We owe her big!!!!
However, we went back to see Dr. Nord on the 30th of June and you still looked great. So, Momma was off bed rest!! Thank goodness because those last two days were loooong!
So after the cramping crisis, about a week ago, somewhere around the week of July 13th, Momma felt you kick for the first time!! It was so exciting Lil' Peanut to feel you!! Momma wasn't sure at first because it felt like a little bubble. Some say it does kinda feel like gas, and I can totally see that! It felt more like a little bubble popping inside that didn't hurt but Momma could feel it. I didn't want to count it because I wasn't sure. Well let me just tell you that on Saturday, the 18th, Momma was for sure feeling you Peanut! You were so excited about something that I could feel you at least 4 or 5 times within only a couple minutes and I knew it was you Peanut. Now, I feel you after every meal!!!! I look forward to it ;)
So the biggest news thus far Lil' Peanut...Daddy and Momma found out yesterday, the 21st, that you are a LITTLE BOY!!!! Daddy and Momma are so excited!! We cannot wait!! As Auntie Goo would say...'tuck it down'!! When you are older, Momma will better explain it to you. But for now, Momma and Daddy have learned that the best way to avoid pee in the eye or up your belly is to....of course, tuck it down!! I will never forget it Peanut....so don't you worry ;) I know that you may not appreciate this when you are older but Dr. Nord gave us a big ol' picture of you're weenie so we are for certain that you are our little man!!! We got to see your little foot, your hand, and we saw your face too…kinda look like an alien but that’s just the quality of the picture, little guy so don’t worry…I think you have pretty good genes ;) You were 13. 0z and your heart beat was 158.
So much has gone on Lil' Man! Momma and Daddy love you SO MUCH and we cannot wait to see you again…August 18th we get to measure how big you are and hear your heartbeat!!! I, on the other hand, cannot wait for lunch to feel you kick me!! Daddy can't feel you yet so keep on growin' so he can feel you soon…he can’t wait!!! He lays on Momma’s belly every night in the off chance that he can hear your little heart!

How far along? 12 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 11 lbs....I'm gonna be one of those moms that gains 100 lbs at this rate!
Maternity clothes? Oh yeah...had to pull out the belly band so Momma doesn't have to button her pants ;)
Stretch marks? No, thank God!
Sleep: Oh ya know, I get up once in the middle of the night to pee. I can no longer sleep in and wake up starving!!
Best moment this week: To see Peanut's heart beat, suck his/her thumb, and streeeetch! So cute!!
Movement: Not feeling anything but did get to see Peanut kick in the sono!!
Food cravings: Bought four new boxes of cereal!! Note, have someone else go down the cereal isle from now on ;)
Gender: Not sure at this point in time!
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? Still in!
What I miss: This week, after seeing a bunch of tan people, laying in a tanning bed for 20 minutes!
What I am looking forward to: Finding out the gender!!!!
Weekly Wisdom: To start looking somewhat presentable during belly photo shoots ;)
Milestones: BABY HAS A NOSE BONE!!! We were told this is a good sign for not having Downs Syndrome!
This was the best sono picture Momma and Daddy got!! See the nose bone!!!!!

1st belly pics...
Little Catch Up
I was so excited to tell everyone but Daddy said I had to wait until we heard it, officially, from the Doctor. So, on April 2nd, Momma and Daddy went to the hospital for a blood test...once again it could not be any clearer.
So, with the results in, it was time to tell Gramy Nancy, Auntie Amy, and Grandpa Eddy. It took Daddy about 45 minutes to tell Grandpa Eddy because he was a little on the freaked side. However, it all worked out and they were so excited to hear about you!!
That same night, we went to Grandpa Crabber's and Grandma Mel's to tell them the exciting news...they couldn't do anything but smile!!! Grandpa Crabber was so excited he told all of his friends at the local watering hole the very next day!
The next day, April 3rd, it would be filled with the biggest challenges of them all; Grany Jani, Nan, and Auntie Lish. First call was to Aunt Heath for a little moral support! Aunt Heath was so excited to hear about you!! Grany Jani was excited that Momma decided to quit smoking...which was the good news before the really good news ;) Nan said she would be all healed up from her knee replacement surgery to pick up her first great grand baby!! Auntie Lish was a little shocked by the news, like everyone else, but was really excited to learn that she was going to become an aunt!! Uncle Michael was the last person to find out that day. It was at his birthday party and he was super excited!! Your cousins can't wait for you to get here!!!
Our first Doctor's appointment was at Dr. Harold Nord's office on April 10th. We learned, once again, that you were going to be an official part of our lives!! The first day we got to see your heart beat was on May 4th, our second appointment. Momma and Daddy were so excited to see your little heart just a thumpin' away...172 to be exact. We could also see your little limbs just a swimmin'....it was the most exciting day yet! We can't wait to see you again...May 26th!!!
