So much to catch up on...20 weeks today!!

So sorry for those of you religious bloggers who have not seen any updates for a while ;)

Since my last post, Lil' Peanut and Momma have gone through SO much together!

I guess we should start out by saying that you, Lil' Peanut, are going to be just like Daddy in the sense that you are going to be a big ol' cramp!! About a month ago, June 24th, around 5 pm to be exact, Momma starting cramping and it would just not go away!

So, the next day, the 25th, Dr. Nord wanted Momma to come see him right away. Everything looked good and you looked great Lil' Peanut so just to be on the safe side, Momma had to start getting shots of progesterone once a week for the rest of your baking period...an awesome 24 shots alternating cheeks every week!! Good cause...good cause…that’s the only motivation Momma had to not want to be dragged in to the office!!! Momma had to take these shots so that she would quit cramping and you wouldn't come meet us too soon...before you were done baking ;) So, Dr. Nord said that the cramps should subside by the evening on the 25th.

WRONG!!

Momma was still cramping the next morning and this was very scary Peanut! See, if Momma kept cramping, it was possible that she might have gone into labor too soon...not a good thing when you are still only 16 weeks along...we gotta get to at least 37 buddy!!! So, Momma was put on bed rest for 5 days! If it weren't for Auntie Lish...Momma would have been lost! We owe her big!!!!

However, we went back to see Dr. Nord on the 30th of June and you still looked great. So, Momma was off bed rest!! Thank goodness because those last two days were loooong!

So after the cramping crisis, about a week ago, somewhere around the week of July 13th, Momma felt you kick for the first time!! It was so exciting Lil' Peanut to feel you!! Momma wasn't sure at first because it felt like a little bubble. Some say it does kinda feel like gas, and I can totally see that! It felt more like a little bubble popping inside that didn't hurt but Momma could feel it. I didn't want to count it because I wasn't sure. Well let me just tell you that on Saturday, the 18th, Momma was for sure feeling you Peanut! You were so excited about something that I could feel you at least 4 or 5 times within only a couple minutes and I knew it was you Peanut. Now, I feel you after every meal!!!! I look forward to it ;)

So the biggest news thus far Lil' Peanut...Daddy and Momma found out yesterday, the 21st, that you are a LITTLE BOY!!!! Daddy and Momma are so excited!! We cannot wait!! As Auntie Goo would say...'tuck it down'!! When you are older, Momma will better explain it to you. But for now, Momma and Daddy have learned that the best way to avoid pee in the eye or up your belly is to....of course, tuck it down!! I will never forget it Peanut....so don't you worry ;) I know that you may not appreciate this when you are older but Dr. Nord gave us a big ol' picture of you're weenie so we are for certain that you are our little man!!! We got to see your little foot, your hand, and we saw your face too…kinda look like an alien but that’s just the quality of the picture, little guy so don’t worry…I think you have pretty good genes ;) You were 13. 0z and your heart beat was 158.

So much has gone on Lil' Man! Momma and Daddy love you SO MUCH and we cannot wait to see you again…August 18th we get to measure how big you are and hear your heartbeat!!! I, on the other hand, cannot wait for lunch to feel you kick me!! Daddy can't feel you yet so keep on growin' so he can feel you soon…he can’t wait!!! He lays on Momma’s belly every night in the off chance that he can hear your little heart!

  1. Congrats on your little boy! It took my DH a long time to feel my son kick after I felt those first flutterings too.
