My Baby is 1!!!

One year ago today I became a Momma to the happiest most beautiful baby in the whole wide world!!! He is my heart and my soul and he makes me want to be the best person that I can possibly be. I thank God each and every single day that He chose me to be his Momma!!

Oh Jaxin Ray James, I can't even put into words the love that I have for you. Every day you bring more and more joy into my life with your big ol' smile that just lights up the room.

The last time we went to the doctor you weighed 23 lbs 10 oz. You've had 3 ear infections and are still in the process of getting over a cold. You have 8 teeth but I'm pretty sure you're workin' on more because you are constantly chewin' and slobberin'...sometimes you use me as a teether and your little teeth are SO sharp!!

You are still wearing size 12 month clothes but are also wearing 18 month jammies. You also wear 5.5 wide shoes.

You are doing pretty good eating, eating pretty much whatever we have to eat. There for a couple days all you wanted was bread and yogurt because you were sick...other than that you do really well with food.

You are walkin, walkin, walking little man!! You are all over the place and are always followin us around...it's so cute! It's really hard for Momma to get things done though because you are right there with me and want whatever Momma has...you are my little helper :)

Your most favorite thing to do is read books...we would read books all day if we didn't have things to do! You love going to Sunday school with the big kids where you sing and dance and do crafts. You love, love, love to play in the nursery with the little workshop. This past Sunday, you waved bye to me for the first time when I dropped you off in the nursery.

You had your first birthday party and you had such a great time!! Momma will post about it soon once I get all of the pictures uploaded...Auntie Lish took over 200 pictures :)

Ah-mazing weekend!!!

We had an extremely much needed-to-be amazing weekend!!! I had to work all day Saturday so Bubba got to spend time with Daddy, then Grandma and Grandpa Baker took Bubba to McDonald's for lunch!! They had such a great time with him and he did an amazing job and just loved his cheeseburger :) After McDonald's, Daddy took Bubba up to Grani Jani's house and I went over after work to have KFC for dinner with the fam!! Bubba was beyond exhausted because he only had one 30 minute nap all day...fyi, he usually takes 3 hour naps for Momma!! So after dinner it was bath time and we read some books. Bubba got to stay the night with Grani Jani and Grampi Tom because Daddy and I went out for the night to go to Dave and Ashley's going away party! We had such a good time dancin' the night away...well Momma danced :)

Sunday after church we had lunch and we took some much needed naps while Daddy went out riding dirt bikes with a couple of his friends!! After naps, Daddy and I took Bubba and the pups up to the park...this was Daddy's first time coming with us to the park and they had such a great time!!! Monkey Man's 1st Halloween!!

We had such a great time taking Bubba trick-or-treating on his 1st Halloween!!! He did just fabulous with his costume...the monkey hat part was driving him nuts on occasion but we took it off plenty of times for him to get a break!!

He got so many goodies!! Momma was a smidge bummed about not getting enough candy to satisfy my sweet tooth but hey that's ok...we have plenty more years of trick-or-treating :) But got lots of new books, jammies, sippy, baby food snacks, cereal bars, a new tooth brush, and some candy!!

We went all over. We started and Papa Crabber's house then went to Great Nanny's, Uncle Terry and Aunt Carol's, Letty's, Neighbor Barbara's, and Grandma and Grandpa Baker's house. Grandpa Baker had on a scary mask that would squirt blood through the mask and Bubba couldn't get enough of it...he kept wanting to play with the teeth on it...I don't know what his fascination with teeth is about?!

Other exciting news...my little baby also turned 11 months old on Saturday!! I can't believe time is flying by SO fast!!!

He is eating more and more new foods. He loves Momma's sweet tater fries!! He's also been eatin nanners like a big boy :)

He still has 7 teeth but he is working on the 8th one with is a bottom one...looks like it could poke thru at any minute!!

He is still wearing mostly 12 month clothes...a couple of his jammies are 18 months because he chunky monkey feet are so stinkin' big...oh yeah, he is wearing size 5 EXTRA wide still..holy cripes!!!

He is walking more and more, getting more and more brave with every step!! He will walk away from the furniture all on his own and can go pretty far all by himself!! Momma is so proud of you litle man!!

He also LOVES LOVES LOVES to read books!! Seriously he will grab a book and then come sit on my lap so we can read it!! We have some books that are song type books that Momma sings and he dances..so stinkin' precious!!

He for sure knows what "no" means. He even knows when he is doin' something that he is not supposed because when you go to get him he will hurry up and try to get away smilin'...little stink pot :)

Oh my precious baby I love you with everything that I have and I can't believe in just four short weeks from today you are going to be 1 year old!! So bittersweet for your Momma!!
