this was the balloon that auntie lish, devon, and jeanne helped send up over the weekend!

the only meltdown we had all night was when the train stopped and it was time to get off

since mommy and daddy had to work on bubby's birthday this year, i wanted to get up super early to make him a special breakfast...chocolate chip mickey mouse pancakes on his "buzz" plate!! he tore them up!!

even though we did have to work, we were able to get off a little early so that we didn't get home too terribly late and could still take him to do the fun stuff we wanted to do with him...

i think we've started a new tradition of taking him to steak'n'shake for his birthday dinner since it's where we've taken him for his first two birthdays!!

I wanted to do something special for him since we weren't at a place that sings and you get a free somethin' somethin' on your big day and since he LOVES "taw-bee" and "mm's" we decided to get him a strawberry- m&m milkshake which he. tore. up!!

he wanted to pick the m&m's off first...

then he got himself the cherry :)

we look over and he was face-deep in milkshake!! we just busted up laughing looking at him holding that big honkin' glass up all by himself...hilarious!!

then we thought that since he already has one chipped tooth he doesn't need another :)

after dinner, we took him to get some new fish for his fish tank! then we took him to see santa!! he did very good with santa...he wasn't sure at first but then santa asked him for a high five and it was all good from there...well until after the picture was taken and santa started talking then he was off the knee and bolting to mommy :) we also went and got our pictures taken in one of those photo booths...the majority of them jaxin's face is cut off becuase he is a smidge short haha!

then when we got home it was time for cake (ice cream got pitched when we left it in the fridge at the community house after bubby's birthday party ) with some really great friends erin, pipp, and tanner, grani jani, and even auntie lish got to join!!

it cracks me up because as soon as he sees the cake he tries to blow out the candles...at least he knows what he's doing!

so after jaxin's birthday party we thought it would be a good idea to go home, get all his toys out so he could play and after, we could get everything organized and put away. it was so much fun to watch him play with all of his new stuff and we got to do a little playing too :)

TWO INFINITY AND BEYOND!!!

so since our little man's birthday was this past wednesday, this past saturday we had a birthday party for him. i'm always such a nut around his birthday time because i'm so frantic to get everything and make sure everything is close to perfect for my little man's big day. because i'm so frantic, it's beneficial for me to have someone around to keep me sane :) since auntie lish is across the globe this year, erin was brave enough to step up to the plate and help me out!! thank you SO much, it was very much appreciated and i hope you and tann had a good time going shopping and running around...i know tann did haha!

one of the things i wanted to do was make cupcakes and since the theme this year was toy story (jaxin LOVES buzz) we found this sweet cupcake tower thing...we even colored the white cup cakes green and blue...LOVED this..we felt like we should be on one of those food shows :)

i cannot thank debbie bell enough for the AMAZING job she does on his cakes!!! if you ever need a fabulous cake, hit up debbie at the wal-mart bakery :)

bubby didn't go too crazy with his cake this year, which was fine. i was also told that they get their own cake on just their first birthday but him having his own cake is something i want to do for him for a while i think :)

the party wouldn't be dull since we had a chex mix!! :)

we got him a buzz birthday boy pin but he kept trying to pull it off and i didn't want him to rip his shirt so it didn't last very long!

When almost everyone arrived bubby ran up to me and just laid his head down for like five minutes it seemed....i thought something was wrong with him but he never did cry and when i asked him if he was ready to open presents he was ready to go!! must have just needed some momma snuggin' time :)

He got so many great presents, all kinds of clothes, toys,

tractors,

a sweet toy story couch that even mommy and daddy snuggle around with him,

and a racecar track that seems to have been a present for daddy too :)

he was trying to blow out the candles before i even got the cake to him :)

he just kept poking at it...

and burying buzz :)

we decided to get him a 4-wheeler for his birthday this year!! he got the going around in circles down pretty good as well as the throwing of the fit when it's time to get off :) daddy and little man smiling like that just MELTS my heart!!!

I can't believe our little baby is 2!!!!

thank you SO much to everyone who was a part of his special day. we are so blessed to have such an amazing family and group of friends!!

I cannot believe our little man is TWO today!!! He is getting huge and he is learning and doing so many new things!!

"come ee-ah" (come here with little hand waving)

"do it" (our child is already spoiled by the awesomeness of the dvr that when a commercial comes on he -wants us to fast forward...we are in BIG trouble when live tv is on)

"pass" (note to self...get rid of the dang thang before they start asking for it)

"mote" (remote-when he wants a movie which lately has been either "buzz" or "car")

fun memories and new doings:

i will always want to remember when we were walking into the house one night and he looked up and yelled "i see the moon" clear as day and it melted me!

he is starting to go potty on the big boy potty much more frequently when we ask him if he needs to go

he saw a spider crawling on the floor one night in our kitchen and went "ewww bug-ee"

when he gives hugs he says "squeeze" and holds real tight

when we are in his room before bed and i'm saying prayers and singing his songs and lays his head on my shoulder and rubs my back or pats it :)

when we talk to aunti lish on skype he always gives her kisses...we have a pretty wet screen sometimes :)

he's starting to count very well!

we like to look in books and point out what we see and make the animal noises along with the actions :) if anyone remembers peekster doin the elephant in middle school you can imagine how cute our little man is doing the same thing...and yes jess i taught him to do it just like you :)

he's starting to try to put on his socks and shoes by himself

it cracks me up when he sits and picks out his toe jams...not sure where he got that from :)

he is officially getting timeouts now and getting better at them!

things we need to get rid of but mommy is in denial that her baby is now a little boy:

his high chair...maybe i'm just a bad mother but it's easier to wrangle him and make dinner and clean up the kitchen with him in it and in the mornings when i'm running late and need to get myself ready!

his crib...just not ready for the big boy bed!

oh big boy, i can't tell you how much you truly are a blessing to your mommy and daddy. we love you SO much that words cannot even express the love and joy that you bring to us each and every single day!! you truly are our precious gift from God. you have changed your momma's world and i couldn't be more proud and more privileged that God has chosen me and your daddy to be your parents. you're growing up so fast and i soak up every day because one of these days you will be a grown man and momma will have to let you go...i'm SO thankful that we have a couple of more years before that :)

Ever since I can remember, it's been our family's tradition to go to the horse races at the Logan County fair. Well, this year, we were forced to move that tradition to the State Fair due to unpaid winnings from last year's races at Logan County. It's so exciting for each of us to pick our own horse and to cheer them on around the track!! Papa only bets $2 so it's definitely not a money making day but we all have a great time just spending time with each other! This year, it was both Daddy and Bubby's first experience! We decided that we'd leave a little bit early to make sure we could grab some of that fabtabulous fair food for lunch!

Of course Great Nanny had to get her little man some ice cream, too :)

Our view from the seats!! Bubby didn't last too long...he wanted to walk down the isle which led him to whacking the ladies who were sitting in front of us a couple of times. So, he and Great Nanny roamed around the fair...they went to look at the animals and the the butter cow--a life size cow made of butter!

Our last stop before we left was back to the food stands...we got a funnel cake, a frozen banana, and Bubby's new found favorite...cotton candy!!! Once he got familiar with the texture and the melting in the mouth...he LOVED it!!

And of course...it wouldn't be the State Fair without an appearance of the King :)

So maybe it didn't start out as the ideal first time on the big boy potty with the announcement of needing to go followed by a successful pee stream not to go outside the toilet bowl...even if it was more of a mommy will set you down while I find a diaper to turn around and see a little one pushin' his little hips out to make sure he doesn't get himself with that thang while soaking the carpet is ok...followed by a BUDDY HOLD IT HOLD IT HOLD IT as we are running to the big boy potty...regardless of all of this, our precious little man pottied on the big boy potty for the first time ever on August 17, 2011. He was then rewarded with an m&m, being allowed to flush the toilet, and to be able to play with the soap and water in the sink :)

Busy busy weekend!!

Bubby spent a good portion of his time this weekend like this...

We had so many things going on this weekend and everything seemed to be going on during his nap time. He was such a champ though, made his Momma so proud especially since I am so anal about his nap time!! On Saturday, we went to Cousin Derek's house for Jesse and Gabe's 4th birthday! We had a great time swimming and playing with all the other kids!! While we were there, Bubby spotted this right away...shocking :)

The boys were a little standoff-ish for whatever reason and it became a family affair to get them to open up their presents :)

I recently started a new job where I have to dress up which is something I've never had to really do... So on Sunday, mi madre took me clothes shopping!!! We ended up going right after church which also happens to be little man's bed time...he was a rock star!! He did SO good!! He did the typical kid thing of grabbing the clothes as his stroller wheeled on by and towards the end of the trip he would yell at the top of his lungs just because he could...we did the usual to keep him sort of quiet...singing "na na na na...na na na na...hey hey hey...goodbye" - his sweet little singing voice melts me! So, at the last stop, while mi madre was wrapping things up, I decided to take Bubby out to let him play in all the rides...sadly, we didn't have any cash so that he could actually ride them but he didn't care at all!!

Logan County Fair!!

This year we took our first trip to the Logan County Fair!! We had such a great time...I just love doing things like this with my little family!!

We started the night off at Papa Crabber's camper to say hello and then we made our way to the show barns. When asked what a cow said Jaxin belted out "MOOOOO" :) Out next stop was to the big barns...

We then quickly made our way to the corn dog stand! Bubby turned out to be more interested in the stick and almost jabbed his mother in the eye...stick immediately confiscated!

Then it was time to pluck a duck...he won a plastic horn which instead of making the horn sound, it makes a little toddler humming noise :)

We then tried to win a fish with no luck...

Oh my gosh this was probably one of my more favorite parts...I could literally feel him squealing with excitement as we went down the big slide!

Daddy and son had a blast on the dinosaur roller coaster!!

Weekend with my Boo...

So it's been almost a month since our little excursion, but nevertheless here's the down low :) Adam and I went to Buchanan, Michigan to go to RedBud which is a motorcross race! We left Friday night as soon as I got off work and began our 5 hour long road trip after we dropped Bubby off at Grani Jani's where Auntie Lish would pick him up later! We were a little nervous because our friends left a couple hours before us and we were unsure if we would be able to park next to them...you camp all weekend :)...ti would have been a bummer to not be anywhere close to them! However, they were able to get our tickets AND save us a spot right behind them with their tents, our fire pit, and their bags set right in between. We did not have a need for a tent because our truck has a carpeted bed with a topper and our air mattress fit perfectly in there! The windows on the topper are screened so sleep was awesome!!

Saturday started out like this....all ready for the big day of racing and fun with lots excitement and enthusiasm!! There is little shade which combined with thousands of people, you have no shade and really not one place to sit because the track is very large and in order to see all that is going on, you walk around pretty much the entire time...unless you find a perfect spot that, with a turn of the head and a lean of the torso, you can see just about the entire track--not our luck! Nonetheless, we were ready and excited!!

Walking up to the track, there were several vendors selling clothing and other race apparel and lots of food!! We got Bubby's his 1st official RedBud 2011 t-shirt!

Still in good spirits even though I've started sweating in all the wrong places and my back hurts because there is nowhere to sit down!

These are just a couple of pictures to show exactly how many people there were...these are the camp grounds and there are still hundreds more people who don't even camp...

And this would have been the key that someone had a little too much fun before the night even came!!

Needless to say...I'm the smart one :)

We were SO excited to head back home the next day to see our little baby boy!! We could tell he was just as excited to see us when we pull up and he yells "DOG-EE DOG-EE" and totally averts us to go see the pups...glad we were missed so much :)

While putting groceries away the other evening, Jaxin decided he wanted to eat grapes straight out of the crisper so I thought highchair and a bowl would be better...I'm still kicking myself for not getting a picture of him plucking the little grapes out of the bag in the fridge all by himself!! Nonetheless, he loved them!!

He stacked them...

Ate them...this was taken right before he bit into one with his front teeth and made the biggest cheese face...was not on the ball with capturing the Kodak moments!

This past weekend we decided to take a quick trip up to the park...quick because it was SO STINKIN' HOT!!

Jaxin loved beating on the bugs "eyes" because they sounded like drums...

4th of July!

4th of July was great! We were really excited to take Jaxin to the fireworks and he did awesome!! He was all runnin' around and wavin' to everyone he passed...he even gave a couple people nuckles :) It was so sweet...those of you who know my Papa, know he needs a hearing aide or two! He was helping with conecssions and there were at least 20 people in line and alot going on...I thought there is no way he could hear my sister and I yelling at the same time let alone my little baby. But sure enough, my little man belted out "PAPA" and he was heard..it was so sweet!!

Over the long weekend, we got to enjoy some time in a family friend's pool...Bubby spent two hours in the pool and then proceeded to take a three hour nap!! He was a tuckered out little man...

Here is Jaxin with all the little women in his life...Jaxin is the only grandson on both sides! He's the lone ranger in a sea of little girls :)

Memorial-Day-Weekend-2011

Memorial Day Weekend was great fun!! We had lots of cookouts and great times with all the sides of the fam!

We started at Grandma and Grandpa Baker's house where we got to play with water toys-including a slip 'n' slide that even Mommy and Daddy went sliding on!!

Our-18-Month-Old-Big-Boy!!

So we took Bubby for his 18 month checkup where he passed his Autism test with flying colors!! He was 32 in. long which is the 95th percentile for height and he weighed 27 lbs which is the 85th percentile. He's starting to say more and more words. Pretty much any time you ask him to say something he at least tries it...it's so cute!!

Jaxin is by far a Daddy's boy!! Wherever Daddy is, that's where Jaxin wants to be...especially when it's time to mow :)

I think our pool is a little smaller this year...

BFF's is a bit bigger :)

17-Months-Before-it-Becomes-a-Flashback

Bubby has learned how to tell us "all done" when he is finished eating!! Now at 19 months he even hands us his plate and says "he-ya-go"!

16-Month-Flashback

So-my-present-state-is-of-upmost-embarrassment-and-shame-for-i-have-not-been-uploading-my-blog-for-at-least-the-past-3-months-because-as-you-can-see-our-computer-still-has-a-muffed-up-keyboard-and-as-i'm-typing-now-my-keystorkes-are-faster-than-the-letter-coming-onto-the-screen-so-i'm-dealing-with-a-rather-annoying-delay-and-every-time-you-see-a-c-just-know-that-i-had-to-copy-paste-that-bad-boy!!

My-love-and-I-are-currently-on-a-4-hour-trip-home-from-our-little-4th-of-July-weekend-celebration-so-i-am-forcing-myself-to-be-patient-and-take-this-time-to-play-catchup-So-we-will-begin-this-large-lists-of-blogs-that-should-have-been-done-weeks-ago-with-our-baby's-16-month-birthday-celebration!!-His-16-month-birithday-fell-on-the-2-year-anniversary-of-finding-out-the-news-that-we-were-expecting-our-preious-baby. (I'm now finishing this post at work :) So I took an hour off early so that we could take the little one to Toy's R Us and Steak 'n' Shake!!

Bubby got a new keyboard to jam with on the way home...

But this was the big ticket item of the day!!!

What's new...

Our little man is now 19 months old. He is SO full of life...he's just like his Daddy in so many ways. He LOVES to be outside and in the garage...he's constantly on. the. go. The kid does not sit down until it's time to lay down with a sippy before bed which is one of my most favorite times of the day because we just get to snuggle. He is wearing anywhere between 18 month and 2T clothes. He's wearing between 6 and 7 shoes...i really need to get him sized real soon! He's had all of his teeth for quite some time now and I think those 2-yr molars are starting to come in we have had bouts of temp, chewy, and fussy the past few weeks.

He tries to say everything we ask him and here are a few that come to mind:

"Doggee"

"Pees" (Please)

"Take-oo" (Thank you)

"HI!"

His colors; boo (blue); yellow in such a cute way I can't begin to type the way he says it which is the same for orange and purple; he also says red and green

We practice our ABC's and he gets through all of them...SO CUTE!!

Mama was yelling at the dog the other day for barking annoyingly so Jaxin thought he'd chime in with "WOCKO" (Rocko)

When he is finished with something "he-ya-go"

When he wants to show us something "ook" (look)

When he's unsure "whasat" (what's that?)

We've been getting alot of "MOM!" "HEY!" "NO!"...yeah. nice. i know :)

He's also been introduced to time outs and the occassional spankin' that usually follows a "JAXIN RAY!" or a "JAXIN RAY JAMES!"

These are just some randoms from the past few days...

He has been trying to sit in his bumbo alot lately which just so happens to be in his closet :)

So the other night while Mama was cleaning up after dinner, Bubby went out to help Daddy in the garage get ready for his new job...from my kitchen sink I look out and see this...just a glance at a father and son that made my heart smile :)

It's a little blurry but Jaxin was helping put tools in the tool box...

Ok-so-I'm-not-going-to-allow-no-spaebar-and-no-letter-sea-keep-me-from-bloggin.-Yes-it-has-been-way-too-long!!-Our-baby-is-14.5-months-old-now.-Wow,-I-annot-believe-it!!-He-is-getting-so-stinkin'-big-and-doing-so-many-new-things.-He's-goes-to-a-babysitter-now-who-he-absolutely-loves!!-He-is-the-youngest-out-of-8-kids-all-of-whih-are-grandkids-exept-my-little-man!-He-had-a-rough-ouple-days-but-now-does-so-well!!-He-pretty-muh-just-plays-eats-and-then-naps-all-afternoon!!

So-my-baby-was-sik-for-an-entire-two-weeks-whih-was-a-very-long-very-tough-two-weeks-for-our-little-family!!-It-all-started-on-a-Saturday.-Jaxin-went-out-to-the-garage-with-Daddy-and-shortly-after-heading-out-I-hear-a-"Babe,-he-puked".Didn't-think-anything-of-it-with-the-multiple-layers-ouple-sippies-of-milk-and-a-little-man-running-around-the-garage-while-hanging-out-with-his-daddy-figured-he-got-a-little-overheated! (Side note--stopped blogging due to annoyance with no "c" and no space...so am now at my BFF's) So then during lunch, he ralphed all over his plate and then later in the day so at this point I'm pretty sure he's got the flu. The week went on without puke, a little temp, and no eating so I decided to have Daddy take him to the Dr. Report-ear infection. So we got some antibiotics which was supposed to take care of things. Well here comes the weekend numero dos and his temp has now sky-rocketed, not eating at all really, not playing anymore, and really only wants to snuggle-which is fine with Momma. So Monday morning comes, Momma has to go to work and Daddy stays home with a crying, not feeling well, baby and after a week of this bus-nass and he pukes-again! So I took him BACK to the Dr. and guess what...strep. STREP!?! I was pretty much banking on the fact that my baby was still a baby and too young to get strep! Well, apparently not! On top of all this sickness, those 2 weeks were filled with teeth, teeth, and more teeth.

It has since been 2 weeks since the bout of illness and my son is back to hims normal self with an additional two molars, one completely through and another just poking through. He's also got 5 regular teeth just barely pushed out as well. My poor, poor baby!!

Little catch up!!

So my little man is now 13.5 months old!! When we last took him to the Dr. after the 12 month post, he weighed 24 lbs. 6 oz and was 31.5 in long! He had to get 4 shots and he was such a champ!!

He also had his first run in with little baby hives at Christmas time...we are thinking from all the animals that he was around!

There are so many new things that he has experienced. He now has a total of approximately 5 new toofers that are all deciding to poke their little heads out all at the same time which totals to about 12 teeth!! Wow to say that out loud...that's alot of teeth!! He has also chipped a tooth!! Oh my poor little man!! His was bending over to pick something up off the tile kitchen floor and his stinkin' socks slipped out from under him and BOOM! I went to pick him up and the little chip was on his little lip :( Broke. My. Heart!! The dentist said that as long as it doesn't turn color and it doesn't hurt him it should be ok!!

He is wearing size 18 month clothes. He is also ranging in shoe size from 5 double wide to 5.5 wide to 6...depending on the shoe!

The newest adventure that we are embarking is the throwing self down on the ground when we don't get what we want. The trick I hear is just to let him get it out of his system and to not give in...so far it's working!!

He has also started going to the sitter's. He is going to the same babysitter that I had when I was 6 weeks old and up which makes me really happy! Letty is wonderful and I know that he will have a great time with not only her but her 7 grandsons...Jaxin just so happens to be the youngest by just a couple of months!! He's a Baker...he can hold his own :)

Probably the most exciting thing that has happened to him, well maybe not exciting but biggest experience in his 13th month was his first haircut!!! He was such a big boy and he did not even cry...well until it was all over...

That long baby hair....and yes, I'm crazy, I saved it all and the chipped tooth, ha!!

Yep...the gel must have hurt his new baby hairs...

All happy now :)

Welp. I'm officially half way up the hill! I turned 25 years of age on December 19th! Let me just say that I have learned so much this first 25 about family, friends, life, and love! I'm so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life who I couldn't imagine where I'd be if it weren't for them....So here are a few things that I'd like to say to the most beautiful women in my life:

Mom- There are so many things that I want to say to you!! The most important is that you have taught me so much about life and the type of person that I want to be!! You truly are the greatest mom and I love you with my whole heart!! And don't forget that "Eh. Vry-body. Needs. Some-body. To. Be blue. With you :)

Sister- You truly are an inspiration and I could only hope to some day be the woman that you are!! I'm so blessed to not only have you as a sister but as a friend and I can't wait for brefis :)

Goo- Gooberbeanfrogb****sLAYDAAAAY!! Oh I heart you friend. I'm so so SO happy that you are my BFF. You and your family are so beautiful and I am SO looking forward to sharing the journey of expanding our little families and watching our babies grow up and to be little BFFs together!! Oh yeah. I said it. FROG!!

Ok. Wow! Yes..."better late than never" is probably my most favorite saying when it comes to my blog :) I've been pretty busy with the new job and it seems like I have very little time with my men now that I am gone during the day so I don't even get on the computer until after Jr. goes to bed if I get on at all. I will try to be better...promise :)

So we had 6 Christmases...yes that was not a type-o...six!

We started at Aunt Martha's on the 18th...

Waitin' in the car to attempt the trip to Granite City for the Baker Christmas...we made it to Lincoln then turned around and stopped at Wal-Mart to grab a ham for dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Baker's house...in a matter of 3 hours we had accumulated about 4 inches of snow with more to come for the rest of the evening!! No way were we goin' to not get stranded in Granite...which is by St. Louis!! Don't worry, our baby was safe and secure in his seat before we took off :)

Christmas morning was great!! Mommy and Daddy got up before Jaxin so we decided to open a couple presents just the two of us before Bubba got up and we started in on all of his new stuff!!

My poor baby had his first run in with allergies! His poor little eyes were crusted shut on Christmas morning so before he could actually see what Santa had brought him, we had to get a warm wash cloth to get rid of the crust...poor baby!!

Our next stop was to Nan's house for Christmas with Mom!! We took scraps to wrap her present so she had one piece of every kind of Christmas wrapping paper we had with a matching bow for each :)

Then we went to Papa Crabber's for the Crabtree Christmas...my poor baby's eyes just kept getting worse!! Daddy did run to Walgreens for Infant Benedryl which helped substantially!!

Our final stop was back to Nan's Sunday after church because Uncle Mikey had his girls so we then had the Turner Christmas!

We had such an amazing Christmas because we got to spend it with all of our families and we wouldn't have it any other way--minus the crusted, purple eyes, and runny nose of our little man!!!

So even though our little man had his big birthday bash, we still wanted to do a little somethin' somethin' for him on his actual birthday. I had to work so Auntie Lish brought him to meet me at work and we took him to Steak'n'Shake for lunch :)

Then when Daddy and I got home from work and took Bubba to McDonald's in Lincoln so I could take Bubba through the PlayLand. I know, I know, I know...."he's too small" as so many people have told me! But I have wanted to take him to a PlayLand for SO long because the little one loves to climb and I thought what better time to do it than on his 1st birthday! It's not like I was just goin' to toss him in there and be like "have at 'er son" I wanted to go with him!! "You're too big" Yeah, whatev it's my son's bday!! And let me tell you he LOVED it. We ate in the PlayLand because that's where the highchairs were and he would not take his eyes off the boys who were going crazy in there :)

He was SO hyped up after we went down the slide he was ALL over the place runnin' around with excitement and Daddy had to chase him around :)

So my little man's 1st birthday party was amazing!! We had all sides of our families there to celebrate and even though not everyone was there I'm so glad that all sides were in the same place to celebrate my baby's 1st birthday!! This is just picture overload of the big day!!

I could not have been happier with the cakes!! A lady from church, Debbie Bell, makes cakes at Wal-Mart and does an amazing job!!

Bubba's 1st Thanksgiving!!

One year ago on Thanksgiving, I was only four days away from giving birth to our beautiful baby boy and let me tell ya, I was miserable!!! That morning I had to have Adam help me put my pants on because Jaxin was sooo low!! This year however, couldn't have been better!! We had our beautiful little boy who got to see all sides of his family and that couldn't make this Momma more happy :)

We started Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa Baker's house for breakfast.

The boys played a little XBox and of course, Jaxin wanted to play too :)

He apparently wanted some attention and felt this was the best place to go :)

Then before we headed to our next stop, we had to hang out in Grandma and Grandpa Baker's camper which Bubba loves to do!!

Our next stop was Papa Crabber and Grandma Mel's house for lunch! Bubba is posin' with his Great Aunt Beth...

My Baby is 1!!!

One year ago today I became a Momma to the happiest most beautiful baby in the whole wide world!!! He is my heart and my soul and he makes me want to be the best person that I can possibly be. I thank God each and every single day that He chose me to be his Momma!!

Oh Jaxin Ray James, I can't even put into words the love that I have for you. Every day you bring more and more joy into my life with your big ol' smile that just lights up the room.

The last time we went to the doctor you weighed 23 lbs 10 oz. You've had 3 ear infections and are still in the process of getting over a cold. You have 8 teeth but I'm pretty sure you're workin' on more because you are constantly chewin' and slobberin'...sometimes you use me as a teether and your little teeth are SO sharp!!

You are still wearing size 12 month clothes but are also wearing 18 month jammies. You also wear 5.5 wide shoes.

You are doing pretty good eating, eating pretty much whatever we have to eat. There for a couple days all you wanted was bread and yogurt because you were sick...other than that you do really well with food.

You are walkin, walkin, walking little man!! You are all over the place and are always followin us around...it's so cute! It's really hard for Momma to get things done though because you are right there with me and want whatever Momma has...you are my little helper :)

Your most favorite thing to do is read books...we would read books all day if we didn't have things to do! You love going to Sunday school with the big kids where you sing and dance and do crafts. You love, love, love to play in the nursery with the little workshop. This past Sunday, you waved bye to me for the first time when I dropped you off in the nursery.

You had your first birthday party and you had such a great time!! Momma will post about it soon once I get all of the pictures uploaded...Auntie Lish took over 200 pictures :)

We had an extremely much needed-to-be amazing weekend!!! I had to work all day Saturday so Bubba got to spend time with Daddy, then Grandma and Grandpa Baker took Bubba to McDonald's for lunch!! They had such a great time with him and he did an amazing job and just loved his cheeseburger :) After McDonald's, Daddy took Bubba up to Grani Jani's house and I went over after work to have KFC for dinner with the fam!! Bubba was beyond exhausted because he only had one 30 minute nap all day...fyi, he usually takes 3 hour naps for Momma!! So after dinner it was bath time and we read some books. Bubba got to stay the night with Grani Jani and Grampi Tom because Daddy and I went out for the night to go to Dave and Ashley's going away party! We had such a good time dancin' the night away...well Momma danced :)

Sunday after church we had lunch and we took some much needed naps while Daddy went out riding dirt bikes with a couple of his friends!! After naps, Daddy and I took Bubba and the pups up to the park...this was Daddy's first time coming with us to the park and they had such a great time!!! Monkey Man's 1st Halloween!!

We had such a great time taking Bubba trick-or-treating on his 1st Halloween!!! He did just fabulous with his costume...the monkey hat part was driving him nuts on occasion but we took it off plenty of times for him to get a break!!

He got so many goodies!! Momma was a smidge bummed about not getting enough candy to satisfy my sweet tooth but hey that's ok...we have plenty more years of trick-or-treating :) But got lots of new books, jammies, sippy, baby food snacks, cereal bars, a new tooth brush, and some candy!!

We went all over. We started and Papa Crabber's house then went to Great Nanny's, Uncle Terry and Aunt Carol's, Letty's, Neighbor Barbara's, and Grandma and Grandpa Baker's house. Grandpa Baker had on a scary mask that would squirt blood through the mask and Bubba couldn't get enough of it...he kept wanting to play with the teeth on it...I don't know what his fascination with teeth is about?!

Other exciting news...my little baby also turned 11 months old on Saturday!! I can't believe time is flying by SO fast!!!

He is eating more and more new foods. He loves Momma's sweet tater fries!! He's also been eatin nanners like a big boy :)

He still has 7 teeth but he is working on the 8th one with is a bottom one...looks like it could poke thru at any minute!!

He is still wearing mostly 12 month clothes...a couple of his jammies are 18 months because he chunky monkey feet are so stinkin' big...oh yeah, he is wearing size 5 EXTRA wide still..holy cripes!!!

He is walking more and more, getting more and more brave with every step!! He will walk away from the furniture all on his own and can go pretty far all by himself!! Momma is so proud of you litle man!!

He also LOVES LOVES LOVES to read books!! Seriously he will grab a book and then come sit on my lap so we can read it!! We have some books that are song type books that Momma sings and he dances..so stinkin' precious!!

He for sure knows what "no" means. He even knows when he is doin' something that he is not supposed because when you go to get him he will hurry up and try to get away smilin'...little stink pot :)

Oh my precious baby I love you with everything that I have and I can't believe in just four short weeks from today you are going to be 1 year old!! So bittersweet for your Momma!!

Fall is by far my most favorite time of the year!! It's not too hot or too cold but just perfect! The beautiful colors the smells, it all just gives me so much to be thankful for :) I absolutely love taking Bubba up to the park because not only is it a beautiful walk but he LOVES to swing and he LOVES to play in the leaves!!

Daddy and I also got to take Bubba to his 1st pumpkin patch, Gail's Pumpkin Patch, today!! He had such a great time!!! There was a tunnel maze that he went through all by himself--we were SO proud of him and you couldn't wipe that smile off his face!!

He'd even climb up the straw bail to get to the next tunnel :)

Of course we had to swing :)

He also got to play in some beans and kept tryin' to climb up in the pit!

At Gail's you get to walk through the patch and cut your own pumpkins if you want :)

Grani Jani even got us a frequent shopper card for Stride Rite because that's where we'll have to get Bubb'a shoes until he's 10 :/ Well, maybe not 10 but for quite a while :)

So last Sunday we decided to surprise Daddy at the Havana race track to watch him race his 1966 Ford Falcon that he has been workin' SO hard on!! Not gonna lie, Momma was a little nervous because this is the fastest car that Daddy has ever raced!! Daddy was so surprised and so excited to see us which made the whole day!!

Trip to the Park!

Since it was absolutely gorgeous out the other day, I decided Bubba and I should walk up to the park!! He had such a fun time!!

He LOVED to swing. He was smiling practically the entire time!!

Then, because Momma doesn't let him do it in our own yard due to land mines (aka dog turds) I decided to let Bubba play in the leaves and he. loved. it!!! He was SO excited. I set him down and his little arms and legs flailed with excitement and you could just see his little eyes lookin' all over as if to say "Momma they're all over the place"!! I was so proud of him, he only tried to eat two and when Momma would tell him "no" he'd stop!

When he would crawl around in them, and I mean zoom zoom thru them, you could literally watch his little head go side to side because if he could talk he would have said "the leaves are all over Momma!!"
